Chikankari, the traditional embroidery of Lucknow, India, is believed to have been introduced by Nur Jahan, one of the most powerful women of the Mughal Empire. Stitches are worked on the opposite side of the fabric, leaving only a lacy outline on the front, as in our white, 3/4-sleeve tunic.

Made in India. 100% cotton. Women’s sizes S (4-6), M (8-10), L (12-14), XL (16-18).

Machine wash.

    Comments about Mughal Embroidered Tunic:

This Chikan embroidery fabric is thin and, for some, will require a camisole. (although I think it is fine without it) I always wear a light linen cami, so this is perfect. I bought one, loved it and immediately bought a second. I travel to very hot climates and always like a backup.

The shape is flattering, flaring just a tad at the bottom. It is not too long, thank goodness! I am 5'7, and the tunic hits me where it is hitting the model in the picture. So many tunics completely cover your derrière, which makes you look larger, not smaller. Mine arrived in perfect shape and is exactly what I was looking for.

When you wash it, it wrinkles terribly. One sleeve had a hole in it. The quality just wasn't there for the price.
