Intricately hand-tie-dyed textiles (called bandhani or bandhej) are a specialty of Gujarat in western India. Fabrics are pinched, pulled, and wrapped with thread before being dyed, creating patterns where the thread resists the color. Some of the best bandhani is found in Gujarat wedding saris. The vivid emerald and teal hues of this reversible, lightly quilted silk wrap jacket are the result of hours of dyeing to achieve the brightest possible colors. Please accept variations in the hand-dyed fabric.
Hand-dyed in Surat and sewn in Jaipur, India. 100% silk. Women’s sizes S (4–6), M (8–10), L (12–14), XL (16–18).
Comments about Emerald Silk Reversible Wrap Jacket:
I bought this as a gift and I know she'll love it. I am in love with it myself! The colours on the one I received were a little darker/richer on the blue side than in the picture and I like them a great deal. The emerald side is exact to the picture, but the photo does not show how nicely the green silk picks up light and changes a little bit with lighting. The quilted silk makes this feel luxurious without being too delicate. It feels very rich, and when done up should be quite warm. Great for keeping a chilly evening at bay after a warm day. Gorgeous and unique jacket.
Was this a gift?:
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
