The evergreen neem tree is native to India and Pakistan, where its healing properties give it the nickname of the miracle tree. Neem leaves form the pattern of this embellished tunic. Artisans use a type of resist-dye to create hues that peek out from a black background, and then add embroidery as well as pink sequins for texture and sparkle.
