This elegant quilted jacket is perfect for travelers who want to let their colors shinesome of the time. It reverses from ivory-hued cotton to bright, hand-loomed, Madras-style plaid linen. Embroidered flowers and leaves decorate the entire front, back, and sleeves no matter which side is worn. Features fabric-covered buttons.
Paintings of Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of prosperity and the embodiment of beauty, standing on a lotus blossom, inspired the floral design. Lotus flower petals are typically smooth, but here the designer chose to create a fanciful scalloped edge that evokes the ruffled garlands of marigold, jasmine, and roses that devotees offer at the goddess’s shrines.
Made in India. Cotton, linen, and rayon. Women’s sizes S (4-6), M (8-10), L (12-14), XL (16-18).
The jacket is pretty and an unusual design. It is not trendy or overdone. The darker side (when reversed) is less attractive & the stitches look like the "wrong side." The sleeves are very long, but when the cuff is turned back, the inside color does not blend with the light outside colors.
