Artisans working in Kathmandu, Nepal, use a traditional quilting technique called "trapunto" to add the detailing at the shoulders and yoke of this jacket. In trapunto, decorative patterns are sewn with lightweight batting to add texture without bulk. The artisans who make this jacket create the pattern freehand as they guide the garment through a treadle-operated sewing machine. Light enough to wear as a shirt or a jacket, it multiplies your travel wardrobe and helps you pack light. Hip length, with side welt pockets, turn-back cuffs, flattering princess seams, and an adjustable tieback.
Crafted in Nepal. 100% cotton. Women’s sizes S (4–6), M (8–10), L (12–14), XL (16–18), XXL (20).
Machine wash.

Good fit for "small" 15-yr. old
Comments about Lightweight Nepalese Travel Jacket:
Good fit for my 15-yr. old. Perfect length. Good color for a brunette. Probably not intended to take extensive wear. Atractive design. Price is valid.

Comments about Lightweight Nepalese Travel Jacket:
I question whether this 100% cotton jacket would be practical for traveling; it says machine washable, but probably requires ironing.
I returned this because the brown color has a yellow cast, which is not flattering to me. Also, I wear size 14 and the Large was too small with a shirt under it.
I would only recommend it to a friend if they were very slender and if they had the skin tone to go with this.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
