National Geographic Analog Atomic Field Watch

Price:$99.00

Item#:1073346

Qty: Available, ready to ship.

Receive accurate time signals from the U.S. atomic clock in a handsome wristwatch that retains the age-old look of analog craftsmanship. Inspired by U.S. Army field watches that remain heirlooms for many servicepeople. A leather band and stainless steel bezel frame a classic face featuring National Geographic's distinctive logo. Displays both 12-hour and 24-hour military time, day of the week, digital date, and seconds.

  • 1 1/2''-diameter, mineral glass face.
  • We recommend having a jeweler replace the battery in this watch.

  • We recommend having the watch battery replaced by a jeweler, as it is intentionally difficult to remove the back. This helps protect the watch mechanism. However, as global atomic functionality is relatively new, even experienced jewelers may have a difficult time re-setting the watch. Here are the steps to follow.

    • The hour and minute must be manually set:
    • Set the hour by pressing the bottom right button until the three-letter city code blinks. Press the button quickly two more times until you see "H" on the screen with a blinking number next to it. Press the top button to scroll through the hours, keeping in mind that this is displaying 24-hour clock time. Press the bottom right button again to set hour. You'll see a "wait" icon and the second hand will spin as the watch adjusts itself.
    • Set the minutes by pressing the bottom right button until the three-letter city code blinks. Press the button quickly three more times until you see "M" on the screen with a blinking number next to it. Press the top button to scroll through the minutes. Press the bottom right button again to set the minutes. You'll see a "wait" icon and the second hand will spin as the watch adjusts itself.

Comments about National Geographic Analog Atomic Field Watch:

It looks great. Could not regulate it after replacing the battery, had to send it in to have it set correctly, there is a fee for that. I am in CT zone but had to switch the zone to MT because it would not adjust for day light savings time. Now, it is running 2 minutes slow. The window that is supposed to show if it is being regulated by the atomic function shows NO instead of OK.

Comments about National Geographic Analog Atomic Field Watch:

don't know whats wrong with it.
was told that NG has no tech support for its products, so I'm on my own to get it working.
and I failed, pushed buttons for three times the recommended time and never got the hands to move.
            Sending it back
