Wet and windy, dry and dusty, or perfectly placid, our water-resistant oilskin jacket is a rugged choice for outerwear no matter the weather conditions. This adventure-ready cotton canvas jacket is inspired by gear worn by miners and ranchers in the vast Australian outback, and treated with an oilskin finish that makes water bead up and run right off. The 12-ounce cotton canvas resists snags and has a broken-in softness from day one. Adjustable back tabs at the waist help tailor the fit. Features a poly-filled cotton lining for warmth, with nylon-lined sleeves. Two lined hip pockets, two zippered chest pockets, and an inner security pocket provide safe space to stash your travel essentials.
Imported. 12 oz. cotton canvas with nubuck leather trim. Men's sizes M (42-44), L (46-48), XL (50-52).
Use a soft brush to remove any dirt. The jacket can be spot-cleaned with a damp sponge and cool water, but using detergent or dry cleaning will destroy the waterproof treatment.
Check for dry patches periodically, especially in high-friction areas like neck and shoulders. If the fabric looks and feels dry, or if you notice leaking, the coat can be reproofed with a paraffin wax. How often the vest will need reproofing depends on how heavily it's worn. An average time frame is once every five years. Search online for "reproofing oilskin" for materials and how-tos.
