I used this product after only one wash. I found the inner mesh abrasive and the outer fabric not very soft. I am washing the shorts every week until an Africa trip in Spring 2014. I am hoping the fabric relaxes and becomes softer. This was my major issue with these shorts. Otherwise, they dry quickly, are difficult to wrinkle, have great pockets.

My only difficulty with the shorts is that it has no front slit or zipper which makes it difficult when nature calls. And as I use it exclusively for sports and thus for nature's calls outside, it makes quick and easy relief difficult
