An iridescent dragonfly alights on your lapel, its body a collection of semiprecious gems and minerals: black agate, garnet, amethyst, peridot, citrine, blue topaz, and marcasitea traditional material in Thai jewelry. Dragonflies develop underwater, and when they emerge they shed their outer layer, revealing their typically brilliant colors. This granulated sterling silver pin, handcrafted in Thailand, captures the aerobatics and glimmering hues of these ''devil's darning needles.''
My daughter-in-law really likes this dragonfly brooch, and she has dozens of them. The dragonfly has a special, spiritual meaning for her. She wears these brooches on special occasions and keeps them in a special display case. The are quite beautiful and well made: a good buy, in my estimation.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Lovely to wear, once I can get the clasp to work - received it somewhat broken - I have to really work at putting it on - then hope it won't come open - don't want to return it because it is out of stock, so I can't get a replacement, and otherwise I love it.
