From the 16th century when the technology became portable and reliable, until WWII when the wristwatch became popular, pocket watches were a common part of the well-dressed man's attire. This chrome-plated brass watch features a vintage style sun-and-moon dial that rotates as the day turns. A clear face lets you observe the winding mechanism inside.
Displays both Roman numerals through 12, and numbers through 24 for 12H or 24H timekeeping. With steel chain and T-bar.
Not available for shipment outside of the U.S. and Canada.
Comments about Sun-and-Moon Mechanical Pocket Watch:
This is an open face mechanical skeleton pocket watch made by A.E. Williams (UK), in silver tone. it is good quality, attractive and keeps good time, but it is NOT self-winding. With no cover, you are best to keep this in a vest pocket, separate from other items. The mfgr makes a gold-tone version, which is probably better as a gift. Given that it is not self-winding, it is an acceptable purchase when they offer 20% off.
