Sunburn can put a damper on any vacation, not to mention the long-term risks of sun damage, so smart travelers recommend wearing a wide-brimmed hat. But fitting one into limited baggage space without bending or folding it can be a challenge. Our Breezer Cotton Travel Hat solves that problem by being 100% crushable and packable. The nylon mesh crown springs back into shape after being flattened in luggage, and it allows breezes in for ventilation. A chin cord keeps the hat in place on windy days or on the water. SPF 30+ protection plus a 3” wide brim and a sweatband.

Made in the U.S. 100% cotton twill. Mesh is 100% nylon. Sizes M (brow circumference 22 1/4"), L (23"), XL (23 7/8").

It purports to be a travel hat

By Dmitri

from approaching the Laptev Sea

Pros

  • Appears To Be A Hat
  • Can Be Crushed
  • Can Be Packed

Cons

  • After First Careful Pack
  • Chin Strap Not Supple
  • Compression Dents Persist
  • For Proper Function

Best Uses

  • And To Enjoy The Dents
  • To Be Choked By
  • To wear on head
  • Wire Quality Strap

The thing does, indeed, resemble a hat with lattice ventilation. Yes, it is crushable and packable. Unfortunately, even after the first very careful packing and transport, the resulting dents and malformations persist. This version is just not UNcrushable. However, I should be thankful for the UV protection even though it appears that I struck rhyolitic boulders at warp speed. But, aye, the rub! The chin strap possesses the suppleness of an American Wire Gauge ranking of 4 to 3 rendering it more appropriate for strangulation than for hat anchorage. All in all, not a bad hat but a rather nice hat; I named it Brim. Disclaimer: it does NOT protect one from the sun's CME (coronal mass ejections). You pays your money, and you takes your chances. Enjoy!
