In even the most modest Moroccan homes, the salon where visitors are welcomed to linger over a tagine and mint tea is decorated with blankets and upholstered cushions piled high along low couches. Our sumptuous, slouchy Moroccan bag is inspired by those inviting textures that speak of warmth and hospitality.
Crafted in Casablanca, Morocco. Polyester blend with cotton/wool lining and leather handles. 17"W x 11"H x 8"D; 16" handles.
After reading the first and only review so far I almost did not order this. but I took a chance on it as I loved the design and I am so glad I did. The color is vibrant and gorgeous and the gold threads woven into it add a richness which is not at all tacky to me. It has an inside zip pocket for my cell phone and change. It is very light weight and just the right size.I have gotten many compliments on it.The top zipper does not close well but otherwise I LOVE IT!

The bag itself is a good size, and fits fairly well under the shoulder. However, the fabric looks cheap and somewhat garish to me - it was much brighter than it looks in the photo, and the shiny threads woven through the fabric make it look tacky. From a distance, the fabric design is reminiscent of tapestry, but it definitely is not so in reality. Also, the inside zippered pocket of the bag I received was not sewn properly - the pocket is unusable. I have sent this bag back.
