Michael R. Bloomberg (Foreword) was elected the 108th Mayor of the City of New York in 2001. He is the founder of Bloomberg LP, a financial news and media company that now has offices in over 160 countries. Bloomberg attended Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Business School and is the father of two daughters, Emma and Georgina.
Joe Daniels (Afterword) is president of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Previously he worked at the Robin Hood Foundation, McKinsey & Co., and Cravath, Swaine & Moore. He lives in New York City with his wife, Naomi and three children, Caleb, Maerose, and Lila.
Allison Bailey Blais (author) is the chief of staff at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. She previously worked at the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. She graduated from Cornell University, earned a master’s degree from Columbia University, and lives in New York City with her husband, Douglas.
Lynn Rasic (author) is the senior vice president for public affairs at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and previously was press secretary to New York Governor George Pataki. On 9/11, she was deputy press secretary to New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. She graduated from Brown University and lives in New York City.
