Cultures on the Edge presents the photographic experience of Chris Rainier, National Geographic Society Fellow and cultural photographer, who has spent more than 30 years traveling the world in search of traditional cultures and natural wildernesses. From his experiences as Ansel Adams’ last photographic assistant, to being a photographer covering conflict and war, to a life’s mission to document the planet's vanishing cultures and wildernesses, Rainier has created a powerful and comprehensive documentary of cultures living on the edge of the powerful changes unfolding in the 21st century.
