Returns & Exchanges
If for any reason your purchase does not satisfy you, simply return the item for a prompt full refund or exchange. Mail your return to the address below. Please include the packing slip that came with your item or a note with your name, address, and the reason for the return. Once we have received your package, we will process your refund or exchange. For items purchased within the last year, we'll send you a replacement or a full merchandise refund. For items purchased more than one year ago, we will issue a merchandise credit for the purchase price, which can be redeemed by calling 1-888-225-5647 and speaking with a customer service representative.
Please note: Personalized items cannot be returned unless damaged or defective. Please check your order carefully; once placed, orders for personalized items cannot be canceled.
If you are returning an item received as a gift, you may exchange it for another item of equal value.
Damaged or Incorrect Item
If you wish to return an item because of an error on our part or you received something damaged, the National Geographic Society will cover all costs associated with returning the merchandise.
NOTE: Only items purchased through our Catalog/Online store should be returned to this address. If you purchased an item from one of our stores, or from any other retailer, you must return the item to the retailer the purchase was made from. We can not guarantee that items returned to our warehouse that were NOT purchased from our catalog/online store may be able to be located and returned to you. We also suggest that you return items using a trackable method of shipping.
