I use this map for hiking and backpacking. Can't attest to how durable as I make copies of the section of the map I need on a particular trip. It is large so if I was to carry it it would be folded the way I could read it. I would think this would be rough on it. Seems to have all the trails the ADK has listed. I believe the Adirondack Mt Club is starting to replace the maps in their trail guides with these. That is you will be buying this separate. I really like thse two sided maps, they have excellent color and contrast.
