Our new globe features the latest National Geographic cartography in colors reminiscent of parchment globes from centuries past. More than 4,000 place-names give an accurate view of contemporary political boundaries. Raised relief helps distinguish topographic features around the world. The die-cast meridian and brass knobs add to the classic look. Some assembly required. Replacement spheres are available to purchase at a discounted price when cartography is updated. Made in the U.S. by Replogle, a globe manufacturer for more than 80 years.

National Geographic is proud to introduce our new line of globes for home, office, and classroom. Our floor-standing, tripod, and illuminated globes are all manufactured in the U.S. by Replogle, which has been making globes for more than 80 years. Each globe has more than 4,000 place names, printed on durable press-craft, plastic-impregnated paper.
Started in the founder's basement at the height of the Depression, Replogle has grown to become the world's largest manufacturer of fine globes. National Geographic's award-winning cartography group was founded in 1915 and has helped shape our vision of the world through the art and science of mapmaking.
Each handsome globe comes with a certificate of authenticity, and a replacement globe ball can be purchased separately whenever maps are updated.

Lovely winter gift catalogue
Comments about National Geographic Eaton II Tripod Globe:
The tripod globe is sitting in our sunroom. It's stylish, looks fantastic, and we use it every day. Unfortunately, our windows are not low E, so we cover it with an ornate cloth, to prevent fading in the sun.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
