Some hundred million years ago, crocodiles were the ruling T. rexes of the waters. They galloped on land, ambushed prey at the river's edgeeven terrorized dinosaurs. These swift predators evolved through the ages into the modern crocs we know today. Now, armed with newly discovered prehistoric crocodile bones, Dr. Paul Sereno is determined to bring the ancient creatures to lifeand tell their fantastic untold story. Learn about a croc that pursued prey across land, a supercroc that locked its jaws around dinosaurs, even a croc with a startlingly canine face. Blending art, forensics and biology, a team reanimates a lost world of strange Cretaceous crocs that paleontology forgot.

How our DVDs and DVD-Rs Differ
Customers who purchase programs in the NG DVD Exclusives Library will receive a non-interactive, play only disc. There is no chaptering information on these DVDs, but there are chapter marks approximately every five minutes, which make it easy to fast forward through a program. The DVD-R format provides the digital video and audio quality you expect from all of our DVDs.

Comments about When Crocs Ate Dinosaurs DVD Exclusive:
Fascinating detail about how a world-renowned paleontologist goes about recreating extinct animals from the bones he finds. Also provides amazing info about the whole family of living crocodiles & alligators.
I would recommend also purchasing "SuperCroc," an earlier program about Paul Sereno's first efforts to learn more about sarcosuchus, the supercroc. Paul involves many other experts in his searches for enlightenment. In this program, there are more prehistoric crocs to puzzle over.
The two programs work very well together with only enough ovelap to link them, but no redundant research.
I never paid much attention to crocodilians except to lobby for their protection, but they are an intriguing, living window into the time of the dinosaurs.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
