National Geographic’s wildlife adventure movie, The Last Lions, tells the suspense-filled tale of a determined lioness ready to try anything to keep her family alive. Created by pioneering filmmakers Dereck and Beverly Joubert, this beautifully shot film tells the tale of Ma di Tau (“Mother of Lions”) and her fragile cubs as they must take a perilous journey through raging fire, rival prides, croc-infested rivers, and deadly buffalo in order to survive.
Yet, even as Ma di Tau faces devastating losses and escalating perils, she becomes part of a stunning turning point in the power dynamics, bringing together a competitive rival pride in a titanic primal bid to preserve the thing that matters most: the future of their bloodlines.

Wonderful..

Comments about The Last Lions DVD:
I was lucky enough about a year ago to visit the Masai Mara, and followed a pride of lions and wildebest. This in itself was wonderful, to see these creatures in their own habitat living day by day. This movie however was equally as entrancing, and I would recommend anyone to watch it - the brave but cruel realities of the bush.

Comments about The Last Lions DVD:
Bought for myself after viewing NatGeo premiere of it.
This is the most moving, beautiful wildlife video I've ever seen (5 decades).
Rich story about the world of big cats...the life/death existence they live and their inner strength to survive.
The fact that the story is true reaches deep into the viewer's primal senses.
