Comments about National Geographic Explorer Shoulder Bag - Large:
Thank you NG. I bought this bag specifically for travel in the tropics (hemp/cotton) as my carry-on for all my electronics (read walking geek squad), cameras (SLR & portable with acc)papers, jewellry, etc., the stuff you want to keep an eye on. It also came in handy to stuff my duty free purchases coming and going, can be lodged quite well under the airplane seat instead of overhead, acts as a pillow in the departure lounge so long as you have something a little softer stuffed in the rear pocket. I dropped it in the ocean, just a quick dip and everything stayed dry. Dragged it through a fair amount of soil & foilage without staining the outside. Over the shoulder, across the body or carry it by hand, the straps are all comfortable and generous even for a large person. Oh yes and it matches my other NG trael purse ;)

great bag for travelers and explorers
By Amy Gusick

Comments about National Geographic Explorer Shoulder Bag - Large:
I found this bag to be ideal for the frequent travelling that I do. It is very spacious and has padded compartments for a laptop (mine is 17-inches and it fit perfectly), and for other sensitive electronic equipment, specifically cameras and camera accessories. For someone like myself, who does not typically travel with a variety of camera lenses, this bag is great because those padded compartment can be removed to make room other items. I typically carry my laptop, leave one of the padded compartments in to secure my camera, and remove the other padded compartment. This set up leaves plenty of room for other travel items. There are numerous outside pockets on the bag that are perfect for storing items you need to access quickly, and there are pockets under the flap that provide more security for things such as your phone, wallet, passport, etc... I found this bag to be a great size for overnight travel to meetings or conferences as it not only fit my laptop and camera, but also all clothing and documents that I needed. That way I could carry one bag, not two. All in all this is a great bag for travellers and photographers.
