I gave this to my grandson of 4 yrs old last year and he still plays with it. He and his 3 yr. old sister have lots of fun shooting the discs around the room. I also enjoyed seeing a 6 yr. old child play with it as well. Once an arm came off, but I was able to snap it right back on again and he is as good as ever. He dances and walks around on hard floors easily.

We purchased this robot for our 5-year old grandson for Christmas. He had asked for a robot and after looking at several this one looked like it was right for him. In addition to having a remote that he could use to control its movements it also offered him the ability to shoot soft rubber discs out of its head. Unfortunately the robot turned out to be a big disappointment. The major problem was that the remote control was so weak that one had to be right top of the activator in the robot's head to get it to do anything. The instructions said that it would work from several feet away...it was more like a few inches. We ended up returning the robot.

Comments about Rapid-fire Robot:

We were so looking forward to giving this toy to our six year old great-grandson for his birthday on April l. We decided to have the robot ready to play with by removing packaging and adding batteries. However, the screw on the battery cover of the remote would only turn and not release. Didn't want to damage by forcing it to open. The decision was made to return the robot. After UPS charge of $18.09 to ship it back, I almost wish we would have kept it. Not a good idea if the batteries cannot be confined well.

Comments about Rapid-fire Robot:

Bought two of the robots for grandsons (7 and 5 year olds) but the noise level was truly obnoxious. Unfortunately, by the time they were fully functioning, the packaging had been thrown away. If there was a way to turn off or lessen the sound effects, they would be great fun. (Any suggestions?) Would return them both in a heartbeat if I could.

        Comments about Rapid-fire Robot:

My 80 y/o mom purchased this robot for my grandson a few Christmas' ago when he was 3 years old. It stays at my mom's so every time he comes we are amused in the total interest the kid has in the robot. Last time I had to tell him to get out of the kitchen with his flying disks sent out of the robot. He loves taking aim at grownups. The toy functions well after three years. He is ready to move onto another more challenging toy, but he still enjoys the power he gets from the thing.

            Comments about Rapid-fire Robot:

When my stepson put this together for his son (the birthday boy) it would not work at first. It took him (he's brilliant at putting things together) so long my husband and I feared we had a dud. But finally he got it to work and it was so much fun watching that robot spit out those discs. Our grandson loved it.
