Mar Dulce Amazonite Earrings

Currents of silver filigree swirl around a Peruvian amazonite stone in these classic earrings. The first European explorer to see the Amazon River, with its many curling tributaries throughout Peru and most of upper South America called it Mar Dulce—"sweet sea." The Amazon gives this stone its name, and also inspires indigenous Peruvian jewelers working in the labor-intensive tradition of hand-wrought filigree.
