This credit card–size clock is so small and lightweight that you'll never want to be without it.
Signals from the German, Japanese, U.S., and U.K. atomic clocks keep it automatically accurate in cities around the globe; and a built-in alarm with snooze function assures you're up and ready to explore whether you've camped outdoors or in a country inn.
Automatically adjusts for daylight saving time and features an easel display and backlight for easy nighttime viewing.
Please note: This clock receives signals from four different transmitters. The U.S. clock covers all four time zones in the contiguous 48 states. (It will not work in Alaska and Hawaii.) The U.K. clock covers all of that country. The German clock covers most of Western Europe. The Japanese clock covers most of Japan and some of South Korea.

Too complicated to set up
Pros

Comments about National Geographic Mini Global Atomic Clock:
I planned to use this clock for travel, but had to abandon this idea and got a different travel clock. This one is cute, but too complicated to set up. So I used it in my office just as a plain clock. It worked fine, until the battery went dead. When I replaced the battery, the clock set itself to the Mountain time. By then I lost the manual, and cannot figure out how to set the clock to Eastern time. So the clock is useless now, unless I'll find those instructions.

Comments about National Geographic Mini Global Atomic Clock:
The advertising copy made it sound much better than it was. Am back to using my old clock which cost less. See complaints above. There are no pros. Only bought because if was from National Geo. Will know better next time.

Complex Alarm that didn't always wake me
Pros
Cons

Comments about National Geographic Mini Global Atomic Clock:
I'm a frequent traveler, domestic and international. An alarm clock should wake you, and do so at the proper time. This one didn't always wake me, because it's volume is too low. And I found it not easy to program it for a specific time, when your travels take you across time zones.

Time Zone Problem
Pros
Cons
Best Uses
Comments about National Geographic Mini Global Atomic Clock:
There is only one atomic clock signal in the U.S. which is Mountain time. After you receive the exact correct time you have to manually reset the clock to your time zone (for example, Central). The clock resets itself automatically, back to Mountain Time, every few days so you have to reset it to your time zone again. Not very useful if you plan to use as an alarm clock.
