Quickly locate and identify more than 1,500 stars that are visible to the naked eye. Choose the adapter for your latitude, rotate the time/date selector for the current date and time, and look through the Stellarscope for a star map aligned with the actual night sky as it appears in your location at that moment. Accurate between 20° and 60° north or south latitude, which includes the continental U.S. as well as most of Alaska and Canada south of the Arctic Circle.

it's just a toy...

Comments about Stellarscope Star Finder:
I bought this product for my boyfriend, to whom of which loves the night sky, and I found out that this product is just a kids toy. I was very disappointed in the description.
The picture on the site doesn't look the same as what i got in the mail...
I didn't even wrap it up.
I would only suggest this as a learning tool for young children that love astronomy.
The "Stellarscope 2, A Starfinder for both Hemispheres For children aged 3 and above"...
(which wasn't the name on the product in the picture, nor listed in the kids section of this site, in fact it is listed just as "Stellarscope Starfinder", and listed under "Gear and Gadgets/Telescopes and Microscopes")
...would be very good for that purpose.
This was all very misleading, and very disappointing...
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
