Overview

In 1974, the vast burial chamber of third-century Chinese Emperor Qin Shihuangdi was discovered by farmers in the north-central Shaanxi Province. It contained more than 7,000 life-size terra-cotta warriors. This set of four handcrafted miniature terra-cotta models of classic poses— general, soldier, and archer—arrives in a black silk gift box. The National Geographic Museum's 2009–2010 "Terra Cotta Warriors" exhibition was the most well attended in the museum's history, and these figures are a handsome commemoration of this landmark event.
