I gave this to my grandson of 4 yrs old last year and he still plays with it. He and his 3 yr. old sister have lots of fun shooting the discs around the room. I also enjoyed seeing a 6 yr. old child play with it as well. Once an arm came off, but I was able to snap it right back on again and he is as good as ever. He dances and walks around on hard floors easily.

It looks like a great interactive toy, however, after assembling it, it didn't function. Needless to say, I had a very disappointed little boy! On the plus side, I was pleasantly surprised when I called NATGEO customer service to learn that I didn't need to return the item, and would get another to replace it. THANK YOU!

    Comments about Rapid-fire Robot:

When my stepson put this together for his son (the birthday boy) it would not work at first. It took him (he's brilliant at putting things together) so long my husband and I feared we had a dud. But finally he got it to work and it was so much fun watching that robot spit out those discs. Our grandson loved it.

          Comments about Rapid-fire Robot:

We purchased this robot for our 5-year old grandson for Christmas. He had asked for a robot and after looking at several this one looked like it was right for him. In addition to having a remote that he could use to control its movements it also offered him the ability to shoot soft rubber discs out of its head. Unfortunately the robot turned out to be a big disappointment. The major problem was that the remote control was so weak that one had to be right top of the activator in the robot's head to get it to do anything. The instructions said that it would work from several feet away...it was more like a few inches. We ended up returning the robot.

Bought this for my 3 year old son. Unfortunately, the articulating mechanism for the foot broke after very little use. The disc firing mechanism worked well, and was a hit, but overall, very disappointed - I expected better.

                Comments about Rapid-fire Robot:

Sadly the robot didn't live up to the expectations, especially for the cost. The shooting mechanism didn't work at all. The foot broke within two weeks with normal wear and tear playing. So sad for my 5 year old who has been trying to enjoy this toy and getting frustrated at it's lack of working correctly.

This tough little robot is easy to build in less than an hour, and just one motor powers three complex motions. His “angry” walk is giggle-worthy, but if he falls over, he’ll pick himself right up and keep on stomping. He can also dance and do somersaults. A huge hit at Tokyo’s massive International Robot Exhibition, this pint-size robot kit is a great introduction to gears and motors.

This solar-powered robot lets budding green energy pioneers and robotic engineers build a range of silly creatures and traveling vehicles. Sort all the kit parts into the labeled baggies to make each build a breeze. And then start by building the drive box, aka the robot’s “head.” Kids can build one robot and easily change to another, zipping from turtle-bots to boat-bots, slither-bots to zombie-bots. With two skill levels, builders begin with amusing creatures and then challenge themselves with more complex robotic forms.
