Comments about National Geographic Complete Birds of North America, 2nd Edition:

Excellent reference. This is based on the 6th edition of the Field Guide from 2011, most of the artwork is the same, most are slightly larger than the field guide. The organization is better since the separate section for accidentals is removed as are the separate maps for subspecies (something I find useless in the field). There is a lot more information for each species, information that might feel unnecessary in the small field guide.

I purchased this in the more expensive binding and that does make a real difference. This is a real book not a paperback that feel like it will fall apart if you open it up.
