The crystalline surface of this pink stone is formed over thousands of years, as water collects and evaporates in a vein of agate rock leaving minerals behind. Artisans in Uruguay collect druzy-encrusted agate and shape it into thin slivers that glitter like faceted gems. An American designer then pairs it with fragments of Roman-era glass, transforming the two ancient materials into an accent that is even more remarkable than the sum of its parts. Each piece of druzy is outlined in 14-karat gold foil. No two pieces will ever be alike.
