Loved building this Robotic Arm

Pros

  • All parts included
  • Great Instructions

Cons

  • Screws Are Too Similar

Best Uses

  • Developing Family Time

Comments about Robotic Arm Engineering Kit:

Love it. Looking for more items from this company as it had clear instructions and thought my son and I. Needs better differentiation between the screws as they are almost identical. Separate packaging for each screw size would help a lot.
I bought 3 more to give as gifts to my son's friends.

Comments about Robotic Arm Engineering Kit:

Bought this for my 12 year old son. He enjoyed putting it together. Took him a total of about four or five hours in two days. He is very happy with it and plays regularly.
The controls are too stiff but that's not a issue. It seems to be very well made, good quality material, good design, sturdy product.
Had an issue with one screw that he stripped when putting the thing together. So must be a little careful with that.

Comments about Robotic Arm Engineering Kit:

My six year old picked this out. He loves taking electronics apart and putting hem back together. This was a fantastic toy to build with him. It taught him assembly and engineering concepts. Once assembled the robotic arm is sturdier than I had originally thought. He loves remote control items and is gentle with his toys. It says or 13+ on the box. He put it all together himself with my constant supervision....it took him about 4 hours. It would take an adult around 1 hour to build. One con is that the screw pieces could have been labeled in a better way. This set came with numerous screw types that were very similar in look but 1/16 of a mm different in use making it difficult to tell them apart.

        About the test

National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Dr. Spencer Wells and team designed Geno 2.0 based on the new technologies and insights that emerged since the launch of the Genographic Project in 2005. Using an exclusive, custom-built genotyping chip, we test nearly 150,000 DNA markers that have been specifically selected to provide unprecedented ancestry-related information.

        By participating, you will:

        •  Discover the migration paths your ancient ancestors followed hundreds—even thousands—of years ago, with an unprecedented view of your ancestral journey.
        •  Learn what percentage of your genome is affiliated with specific regions of the world.
        •  Find out if you have Neanderthal or Denisovan ancestry.
        •  Have the opportunity to share your story and connect with other Genographic Project participants, helping us fill in the gaps in the human story.

What's included in the Geno 2.0 DNA Test kit:

The Geno 2.0 kit contains everything you need to begin the journey into your past, including painless cheek swabs and instructions for submitting your DNA samples (return postage required). Plus, we’ve designed the Geno 2.0 kit box to serve as a beautiful keepsake to store your results after you access them online.

How your participation helps the Genographic Project:

The Genographic Project is an ambitious attempt to help answer fundamental questions about where humankind originated and how we came to populate the Earth. Using the latest genetic and computational technologies to analyze historical patterns in DNA from participants around the world, our team of world-renowned scientists led by Dr. Spencer Wells, seeks to reveal our migratory history and to better understand the connections and differences that make up humankind.
