Do not buy!

My wife bought this as a gift for me on my birthday. Its a beautiful watch, but the good things about it stop right there. The compass never worked (we didn't realize that when we bought it.) After giving it for repairs, compass worked for some time, and then stopped working. The temperature gauge doesn't work either (dunno if it ever worked, or stopped working after compass repairs.)

The shopkeeper told me, I wasn't the only one having problems with this model. It didn't work for a lot of other people - so its not about just my piece being defective.

Navajo artisans working in Tempe, Arizona, continue their tribe's long tradition of handcrafted silver work in this watch. Silversmithing is a skill traditionally passed down through generations, and many of today's Navajo silversmiths are continuing a craft first practiced by family members over the past three centuries. Although stones like turquoise, jasper, and lapis are often featured in Navajo jewelry designs, it's the silver work that represents the true spirit of Navajo craftsmanship.

Polar fleece, titanium, and GPS have forever changed the face of exploration. Today an explorer can make a phone call from the top of Mount Everest and geo-locate himself in the thickest rain forest or the widest desert. Yet despite these advances, few modern adventures get close to the charm and romance of dispatches from the Society's earliest explorers. In those bygone days, the pages of National Geographic were as close as most people could get to high adventure and faraway lands—and here's a chance to recapture them.

Chinese Cloisonné Garden Watch
Chinese Cloisonné Garden Watch
(Based on 15 reviews)
Category: Clothing/Jewelry/Watches
Historians believe that cloisonné was introduced to China by traders from Constantinople and has since evolved into a uniquely Chinese art form. Jewelers apply thin filaments of wire to the band to form floral outlines. This step of the cloisonné process has been compared to embroidery. The outlines are filled with powdered glass enamel and fired at high temperatures to fuse the material and bring out its bright colors. This hinged cuff is adjustable and will fit a range of wrist sizes comfortably. Stainless steel face with nickel-plated band.
