Though the battery is still operating the watch more than two years after receiving the watch, timekeeping from the beginning has been erratic. For no apparent reason it suddenly is hours off the correct time. When the hour hand is exactly on the hour, the minute hand shows twenty three minutes past the hour. The watch is thick, heavy, and two inches in diameter including the protruding control buttons. The temperature feature may be OK if the unit is not on your wrist but, if wearing the watch, the displayed temperature will necessarily always be somewhere between your body temperature and ambient. If you're interested in a bulky wrist compass this item may be for you. If you're looking for a reliable timepiece, look elsewhere.

Fine design and very attractive watch. Numbers for "day" and "temperature" are too small.

My wife bought this as a gift for me on my birthday. Its a beautiful watch, but the good things about it stop right there. The compass never worked (we didn't realize that when we bought it.) After giving it for repairs, compass worked for some time, and then stopped working. The temperature gauge doesn't work either (dunno if it ever worked, or stopped working after compass repairs.)

The shopkeeper told me, I wasn't the only one having problems with this model. It didn't work for a lot of other people - so its not about just my piece being defective.

Navajo artisans working in Tempe, Arizona, continue their tribe's long tradition of handcrafted silver work in this watch. Silversmithing is a skill traditionally passed down through generations, and many of today's Navajo silversmiths are continuing a craft first practiced by family members over the past three centuries. Although stones like turquoise, jasper, and lapis are often featured in Navajo jewelry designs, it's the silver work that represents the true spirit of Navajo craftsmanship.

Polar fleece, titanium, and GPS have forever changed the face of exploration. Today an explorer can make a phone call from the top of Mount Everest and geo-locate himself in the thickest rain forest or the widest desert. Yet despite these advances, few modern adventures get close to the charm and romance of dispatches from the Society's earliest explorers. In those bygone days, the pages of National Geographic were as close as most people could get to high adventure and faraway lands—and here's a chance to recapture them.
