Editor Louise Pascale has recreated the collection of Afghan children's songs she compiled while teaching in Kabul in the 1960s. A few years ago, upon discovering she still had her copy, she vowed to return the songs to Afghan children.

This special English edition, created to bring these songs to a wider audience, contains illustrations, the English translation and transliteration for each song, informative liner notes, and a CD of Afghan children singing the songs.
