The material of this product is so fine and soft that it will be very useful to wear in spring as well as summer despite it's long sleeves. The colors and pattern are contemporary-looking but with a traditional fitting tunic. I bought one for me and my sister for her birthday.

Beautiful fabric and I did have to exchange it for a size up since I'm larger busted. Otherwise, it's a lovely tunic and I'm looking forward to wearing it.

Comments about Indian Flower Burst Tunic:

I waivered between ordering a medium or a small. I am hippy and can be anywhere from a size 6 to a size 12. I'm glad I ordered the small! If you look at the size chart for the garment, you'll notice there's not much variation between sizes. It was longer than I expected (but I just didn't pay attention to the length, I was more focused on hips). The side slits are 12" deep, but they start at about my hip-bone. Love wearing it and have already received compliments!

Comments about Indian Flower Burst Tunic:

This tunic is just as beautiful in person as it appeared in the magazine/website. It is made of 100% lightweight cotton, and the tag recommends washing the tunic by hand, which I did and then line-dried, and the colors did not bleed nor fade. I purchased it as a beach cover up, but it is so nice I plan on wearing it throughout the summer. Because the fabric is lightweight, it is a bit see through so plan on wearing a tanktop under it. Love it!

A paisley print in peacock hues decorates this lightweight, traditional Indian, split-V-neck cotton tunic. Paisley patterns, based on a stylized mango leaf, have been popular ever since merchant sea captains began bringing Indian textiles back to Europe and the U.S. in the 1700s. This loose-fitting, flattering tunic suits a range of styles with its classic cut and timeless palette. The design may vary based on the cut of the fabric in each individual garment.

Our embroidered tunic brings a burst of colorful flowers to your spring wardrobe. Artisans in a family-run Delhi workshop use nine shades of hand-dyed cotton thread to embroider flowers along the collar and sleeves of a traditional, split-V-neck cotton tunic. Yellow whipstitching along the cuffs and hem adds a finishing touch. Made in India.

The Calico Museum in Ahmadabad houses India’s most important textile collection. The pattern of this silk-modal-blend tunic, called a kurta, is inspired by the museum’s early-19th-century printed fabrics made for trade with Europe. Hand-sewn pearlescent sequins add sparkle to the split V-neck design.

Indian textiles have been influencing world fashion for centuries. In the mid-19th century, women clamored for paisley patterns on Kashmiri shawls. In the mid-20th century, the peace-and-love generation popularized bold graphics and Nehru collars. This relaxed tunic updates a ’60s style with a pattern inspired by raindrops on a lake. The Punjab region in northern India is brimming with highly creative artisans who make everything from ornate jewelry to detailed needlework bedding and fabric. This classic tunic represents those decorative arts with subtle tone-on-tone embroidery trimming the neck and cuffs and accented by a scattering of beads across the body and tiny bell buttons at the neckline. This embroidered tunic evolved from a typical Punjabi garment called a kameez, a loose cotton shirt with an airy quality to keep you cool. Made in India.

Traditional Indian styling in a vibrant fuchsia pattern and textured lightweight cotton make an excellent travel outfit. The Indian city of Jaipur has been an artistic center since the 18th century and is known as the Pink City because of the stucco that was used to imitate red sandstone. It is in the Pink City that this bright ensemble is made as part of a thriving cottage textile industry. The loose-fitting style is flattering on any woman, and the crinkle fabric makes this ideal for pack-and-go travel. Expand your travel wardrobe by pairing the tunic with jeans or the skirt with a T-shirt. Made in India of 100% cotton.

Before the country's civil war in the mid-20th century, the Laotian city of Luang Prabang was home to the silversmiths who worked under the patronage of the royal family. After the war, most moved to the capital of Vientiane for safety, and it is there that these ornate accessories are handcrafted in an age-old tradition that begins with melting pure silver bullion into sheets and wires.

Using pearls to represent purity and garnet to represent passion, Indian artisan Narayani creates a three-strand wristband bracelet meant to invoke the many facets of love. Legend tells that Indian warriors used garnet-tipped arrows to ensure deadly aim, but this fiery January birthstone has also been used for healing and protection in many cultures. In Hinduism pearls are associated with Lord Vishnu and known as the "queen of gems." Handcrafted sterling silver beads and toggle clasp.

During the 19th century, paisley shawls from India were all the rage in Europe and America. Later, in the early years of the 20th century, women who had inherited their grandmother’s heirloom shawls often refashioned the fabric into dresses and jackets more appropriate for the jazz age. This sheer butterfly-sleeve tunic is made in the same spirit of transformation, and updates a timeless paisley pattern in a contemporary style. Poly georgette with elastic ruching at the waist. Hits at mid-thigh. Camisole not included.
