As the Titanic waits in dry dock at the Harland and Wolff shipbuilding yard in Belfast, workmen are dwarfed by her three massive propellers. Together they weigh nearly 60 tons; the four-blade, 22-ton center propeller is cast in one piece from manganese bronze. The photograph is framed along with an 1912 wheat penny. Includes a certificate of authenticity.

Titanic was designed by experienced engineers, using some of the most advanced technologies and extensive safety features of the time. She surpassed all her rivals in luxury and opulence. The first-class section had a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a squash court, Turkish bath, electric bath, and a verandah cafe. First-class common rooms were adorned with ornate wood paneling, expensive furniture, and other decorations. She set sail for New York City on April 10, 1912, with 2,223 people on board. Four days into the crossing, at 23:40 on April 14, 1912, and sank at 2:20 the following morning, taking 1,517 lives with her.
