In this twist on the classic pocket watch, a petite timepiece becomes a dramatic pendant. The steel-alloy watch features a Celtic knot etched into the pewter-finished case. Can also be clipped onto a purse using the included carabiner. Crafted by a Birmingham, England, company that has been making pewter since 1797. Pewter watch; stainless steel chain.

Crafted in England. Pendant: 1 1/4" diameter. Necklace: 28"L. SR626SW battery, included.

The trinity knot is an archetypal design that, for many people, helps them connect to their tribal roots—be that an Irish or Scottish family background, spiritual beliefs both Christian and pagan, or simply a desire to connect with the world on an instinctual level.

First watch was a present for my daughter. It was just as described and I was very pleased and she loves it. Bought a second one for myself but returned it because there were two defects making it difficult to read: the watch face was off center and the lid did not open fully.

I would recommend this product with reservations.

I am super hard on watches so my Mother suggested just this thing. It combines my love of everything Celtic with the practical need for a timepiece. I really like that I can wear it as jewelry or clip it to my purse!

This product seems to be sub-par quality. The cover does not open unless pried open with two hands. I'd suggest that Nat Geo drop this inferior quality product. Look to other comments for similar experiences.

I wear this to work every day and have had it for months. People like it and comment on it, and it's handy when the clasp is working. The clasp was very stiff at first, and it got better, but now it's getting to be a two-handed issue to open it. The necklace is wearing to the point where it's no longer silver, but as I said I wear it every day to work, and the description only says it is X long, not that it's silver or even nickel or some white metal. I think it's best as a formal necklace, not as a workhorse.

I thought this a very attractive watch and ideal for my needs. Unfortunately, after only a couple of months, the lid closer mechanism on the watch failed. Now the watch pops open all the time - not good!

For the price, this seems a very poor quality item.

After ordering the first one as a Christmas gift, I contacted NG in April because the watch had stopped working and the stem was totally stripped. I contacted Customer Service, who were wonderful. They sent out a second watch. My friend didn't even take the second one out of the box. We looked at it, set the time and the next day, showed it to her sister. It had stopped keeping time. I have asked for a full refund. Perfect gift for my Irish friend, but she neeeds a watch that actually tells time.

The Celtic knot, or triquetra, that frames this sparkling necklace dates back to the 6th-century, when art from Ireland and the British Isles developed into a style that was unique from the rest of Europe. Illuminated manuscripts like the Lindisfarne Gospels, the Book of Durrow, and the Book of Kells are full of illustrations featuring complex knotwork. In Celtic and Pagan traditions, the triquetra symbolizes earth, sun, and sky, or the stages of a woman’s life: young woman, mother, and grandmother. In Christian tradition, it is a symbol of the holy trinity.

From the 16th century until WWII when the wristwatch became popular, pocket watches were a common part of the well-dressed man's attire. This steel alloy pocket watch features a Celtic knot etched into the pewter-finished case. A clear face lets you observe the self-winding mechanism inside, where even a slight motion causes a small metal weight to turn gears that wind the watch spring. With chain and T-bar. Made in Scotland.

Croagh Patrick, where Ireland's patron saint spent 40 days fasting, is the country's most famous pilgrimage site. On "Reek Sunday," the final Sunday in July, tens of thousands of pilgrims climb its 2,500-foot peak. Nestled at Croagh Patrick's feet is the picturesque town of Westport, with majestic mountains on one side and the wild Atlantic on the other. It is here that our worsted wool pullover is made. Its thick-knit collar is inviting on cold days, and the three-quarter buttoned neck allows for easy layering. The Celtic knot design is inspired by the 8th-century Book of Kells.
