Comments about Handblown Glass Hummingbird Feeder:

I thought at first, this would be, not only an attractive item for the back yard, but a nice addition for the hummingbirds. However, I found out that, "No so much" regarding how the hummingbird feeder is designed, and it needs a complete overhaul with more planning to be useable . It was far from practical for the little gaffers. I quickly realized that where the flowers/feeding areas were, they were too high on the feeder. Yes, we all know hummingbirds have long thin beaks but one can see by looking at this feeder, there was only a short area the hummingbirds could reach. Sadly, there was lots of nectar in the feeder but it could not be reached. I returned it as I had to add nectar several times a day and more ended down the sink than anywhere else :(

Comments about Handblown Glass Hummingbird Feeder:

I bought this as a gift for my dad, a hummingbird lover. He thinks it's a beautiful piece, but has never seen a hummingbird eat from it. He is retired and spends a lot of time outside, much of that time watching hummingbirds. He has tried multiple locations for the feeder, including within 10 feet of another hummingbird feeder. He often saw multiple birds fighting at the other feeder and not a single one eating from this one. While it is beautiful, it doesn't do what it is supposed to do.

Our set of three mango-wood chests also contains the third gift of the Magi: gold. Here, delicate flakes of 23-karat gold are presented in a handblown glass ball. These festive and colorful glasses started off as humble bottles and jars collected by fair-wage “pickers” from the Mexican city of Tonalá. At the workshop of renowned glassblowers Javier Gutiérrez and Efr´n Canteras, the collected glass is cleaned, crushed, and melted-down in kilns before being hand-blown by expert glassmakers. Each glass varies slightly thanks to the tiny visible bubbles typical of hand-blown glassware. The bright confetti colors of these glasses are highlighted by the crystalline curves of the glass—making them the perfect vessels to showcase your next dazzling farmer’s market peach sangria or mint lemonade.

The Seguso family of Murano, Italy, has been listed in that city’s census of master glassblowers since the 1300s. In 1954 Sao Paulo invited Mario Seguso to create commemorative art glass for its 400th anniversary. He became so enchanted with the country that he moved there, where his sons continue the family tradition. This substantial Murano glass vase is inspired by the colorful energy of Carnival in the Segusos’ adopted country.
